Talisker - Brand Home Guide

Context
Talisker is at the heart of Diageo's scotch whisky portfolio and it's important that you can portray that passion to any of our visitors. As well as providing information, you will support any marketing activities and events that are put on at the distilleries and be expected to know the key message of these events and communicate this in a fun and engaging way.
This role will be very varied from day to day and you will be expected to support the Brand Home Manager and Brand Home Lead Guides in all aspects of managing the facility. This is a seasonal hours contract meaning you will work most of your hours during the Summer months, working 5 days out of 7 each week and it's important your someone who's flexible with when they can work, including weekends and evenings.
The distilleries is located in small communities, it will be necessary to be proactive in participating in local activities and promoting Talisker in the community.
Top 3-5 Accountabilities
- Ensure a high level of customer care by welcoming, leading, informing and enthusing visitors in the shop, during the tour of the distillery and brand reception area.
- Demonstrate a high level of retail skills in order to maximise sales while ensuring effective stock monitoring and ordering practices are implemented.
- Maximise the impact of the Brand Home by promoting key quality messages relating to the process and the brand(s) to visitors and the local community.
Qualifications and Experience Required
- Educated to Higher standard or equivalent.
- Excellent communication skills. Retail skills preferable.
- Proficiency in languages desirable. Ability to work within a flexible environment. Health & Safety Awareness.
- Driving licence preferable.
