The Lowland region is famous for its gentle rolling hills and farmland, and this is reflected in the gentle and floral style of whisky that is produced. Triple distillation is preferred and this results in a very light natured spirit – these can be a great introduction for new whisky drinkers.
This is the 1999 vintage from the Distillers Edition series from Diageo. Finished in casks which previously held amontillado sherry, the medium-dry nuttiness complements the lighter style of this Lowland whisky.

A bottling of whisky from Deanston under the name Deanston Mill. We know this dates from the latter half of the 1970s as the whisky wasn't bottled under the distillery's name before 1974.
Released in 2005, this was a limited bottling of 32-year-old Auchentoshan. Distilled in 1973 and aged in ex-sherry wood, just 480 bottles were produced.
Released in 2017, Deanston 40 Year Old has been finished in oloroso-sherry butts, and is limited to 480 bottles. Rich and sweet with notes of heather honey, apple, vanilla and citrus.
